CityCare

Loving our city… and beyond

Vantage CityCare is all about helping those outside the walls of our church. Why? Because we can. As a church, we believe that we are blessed to be a blessing and CityCare is our way of reaching out. Locally, we are working with the Scott Mission, serving people in our city that need a helping hand. Please contact us to be included on the next serving opportunity.

Other initiatives that we are supporting as a church family – locally, nationally and internationally – include:

Forward Church – Woodstock, New Brunswick. Forward Church, pastored by Ryan and Amy Tompkins, is a new church that is reaching out to the community of Woodstock. NB. Church planting is near and dear to our heart and we are passionate about helping others along the journey. We love our friends at Forward Church and are honoured to be doing what we can this year to come alongside them.

New Ground – Sean Hume (Youth Unlimited). New Ground is a social purpose initiative that provides employment to struggling youth between the ages of 16-22. Through a structured training program, monthly mentoring meetings and on-the-job training, youth are challenged to face their life situations head on and be equipped to move forward with life goals. Seeing the hope and potential in every young person, Youth Unlimited participates in the transformation of lives and communities through wholistic development.

ARC Churches Canada. ARC (The Association of Related Churches) is a church planting organization that works with church planters and church leaders to provide support, guidance and resources to launch and grow life-giving churches. We are excited to be partnering with ARC to see churches planted all over Canada.

Keep a Girl in School – Uganda (Watoto). Living Hope, which is the arm of Watoto (watoto.com) that restores dignity to vulnerable women, launched the Keep a Girl in School program with an aim to reduce the primary school drop-out rate and increase primary school exam completion among adolescent girls. They do this through the provision of sanitary towels and hygiene supplies, and character and life skills development. As a church, we support the girls in one whole school, helping them to complete their education with the aim of breaking the cycle of poverty and bringing dignity in Jesus name.
